For thy honour, Julius !!

The treatment of this film is a little different from the contemporary style.

    1. Characters or scenes have not been explicitly established upfront. In fact, establishments have often been situational and subtle.
    2. The time frames have been sequenced non-linearly, and the events have been scattered as a random orientation of reconcilable instances.
    3. There is a surreal and abstract perspective that runs parallel with the skeletal storyline.
    4. There are minimum camera movements, with no use of trolley or cranes in the film. The momentum of the film is heavily dependent on the underlying momentary spirits, rather than the dynamicity of camera.

The film tries to capture various aspects of human nature and their vulnerability towards unanticipated circumstances. There is also a very subtle analogy of the film with Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, the analogy is not character based, but situational. The Ides of March marks the day of utmost significance where Caesar was assassinated in the senate house. It marked the death of ambition (according to Brutus), break of trust (as Caesar considered Brutus to be one of his very close friends), and a shower of melancholy and grief (from Antony’s perspective).
